Ken Kishihara CHT, OTR/L is a Certified Hand Therapist. Ken is a graduate of Loma Linda University, with a B.S. Degree in Occupational Therapy and has specialized in the field of hand therapy. He brings to the Regional Hand Center, over 15 years of experience in the treatment of hand and the upper extremity.
Ken is skilled in treating traumatic hand injuries resulting in tendon lacerations, nerve damage, contusions, and fractures, as well as sensory impairments. Ken is also knowledgable in dealinf with various repetitive strain injuries including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tendonitis, Tenosynovitis and Tennis Elbow.
Fabricating custom-made splints is Ken's specialty. He designs them specifically to meet the patient's need to provide support, facilitate healing, as well as increasing function and motion.
Whether he is providing treatment modalities, progressine exercises, joint mobilizations, wound care management, pain management or patient education, Ken's focus is individualized and his goal is always meeting the patient's need to increase overall function and quality of daily activities.
Ken is married with two young daughters. He enjoys being with his family, and loves outdoor activities such as golfing, biking and fishing.
